Cache La Poudre, will be moving into a new facility at 2445 Cache La Poudre.  The new facility will remain under the same ownership and management as the old facility. The new facility will be a 116 bed facility, and will accommodate all current residents. Relocation of current residents will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2012.  Each resident will have an assigned volunteer (companion) that will meet them in the old facility and escort them to the new facility. They will assist with unpacking the residents’ possessions and getting them settled in their new room.  SVLC will ensure both the old facility and new facility are staffed appropriately to meet the care needs of the residents during the transition. Sunny Vista Living Center is excited to be able to provide a beautiful new facility for our residents.  A smooth transition will only be possible with the help of community volunteers and we appreciate the time and commitment you are providing our residents. It’s something that cities throughout the country do, and although the prices and set-ups are different, the idea is that during a traditionally slow time of the year, you can go out to eat and get an amazing meal for two for a great value.

Modeling our Restaurant Week after the one in San Diego, ours will see restaurants offering dinners for two at one of three different prices: $30, $40 or $50. This will allow the mid-range as well as the upscale restaurants to play.

We’ll also have lunch involved this year, with $5 or $10 for one.

 

There is no cost to you to participate in Restaurant Week. Experts from Denver’s Restaurant Week will be making their best practices available to interested parties by facilitating “Restaurant Week Boot Camps”.

Volunteers Needed For El Paso County Boards and Commissions

 

             

                                                                                                                                Colorado Springs, January 25, 2012 – The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking a community-minded citizen volunteer to serve on the Fairgrounds Corporation.  Applications for the open position are due by February 10, 2012.  

The Fairgrounds Corporation is a non-profit corporation established by the El Paso County Board of Commissioners to acquire, manage and/or hold a liquor license assigned to the El Paso County Fairgrounds; to coordinate the use of the El Paso County Fairgrounds for special events during which the consumption of alcohol is desired; and through its operation, to provide funding to support the El Paso County Fair, the El Paso County Fair and Events Complex, and the El Paso County 4-H program.  It consists of five members who are appointed for three-year terms and who may not serve for more than three successive terms.
