CRP Connection is an after-hours business-to-business networking opportunity for Chamber Rising Professionals. It’s time for the 8th Annual PeakCo Challenge. The PeakCo Challenge is a community “FUN”-raiser comprised of events designed for team building. The event raises much-needed funds for the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region. This is the 3rd year the Chamber Rising Professionals will be showing a presence. It really is a ton of fun, so come join us. Don’t worry about being athletic! Everyone who participates is a winner. Up to 60 teams will have fun in 6 events including: Tug-of-War, Team Chaos, Volleyball and much, much more! There is one GRAND CHAMPION! The coveted PeakCo traveling trophy will be awarded for one year to the overall champion. The current champions proudly display the trophy for a full year until a new victor is crowned. Overall awards will be presented to the 2nd and 3rd place team winners, as well as individual event winners.

Join the Chamber Rising Professionals on Monday, June 28th for a fun and exciting night of stress management at Whistling Pines Gun Club. This is a rare opportunity to visit an exclusive club in Colorado Springs. Whistling Pines is the only in-door shooting range in Colorado Springs and it is a member’s only club! We are limited to 25 people, so respond now as tickets will sell fast. The safety briefing and orientation will commence at 5:30. Range time will start promptly at 6pm and will last for one hour. Cost is $15 (CRP Members Only). Whistling Pines also offers great prices on rentals if you would like to try a new gun or do not have your own. For $10 you can shoot up to 3 different firearms or for $15 you can shoot an unlimited amount of guns.

Why: Join the Chamber Rising Professionals as we volunteer our time to help our 2010 Adopt-a-Non-Profit, Mosaic landscape one of their group homes! Mosaic’s properties serve as the primary home for many people they serve. They need the outside to look great for their residents! The CRPs will be putting in rock, pulling out bushes and staining a deck.

Program Director Alana Berland is committed to assisting clients, families and friends in healthy communication. She enjoys the role of listening to a situation and offers specific communication hints as a form of problem solving. Alana grew passionate about healthy communication conflict, and that sat the foundation of steadily working on a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution. She is able to use her degree on a daily basis while supporting iLoveFeedback© training, participants and program logistics. Alana is an energetic, self-described “information junkie” and sees every day as a unique learning experience. Having completed four half-marathons and always training for another event, Alana is on the go outside of work. Alana can be found volunteering in the community for Seeking Common Ground, a non-profit that strives to change the world by creating thoughtful leaders and peaceful communities, sitting on the local alumni board of her alma-mater Indiana University and supporting community engagement of young professionals.

PARKING: FREE parking is available along First Street (or any other near-by streets). You can also choose to park in the parking garage for $2.00 per 1/2 hour for the first hour and $1.00 each additional 1/2 hour up to 3 hours or a $8.00 maximum per day.
